I just accepted my housing offer (single in Stern Hall!) and I was wondering if anyone on here is also going to live in Stern next year.

Has anyone lived in Stern / been inside the res hall before? How is it inside? I looked at it from the outside and I think it's gorgeous :), but I'm really dying to know what the rooms and bathrooms are like...

you got a single? awesome! congrats.

How did you manage to get it? There are like 15 singles only, and it says on the housing website, they’re only available for students with special circumstances or disabilities etc.
I’m really hoping to get one too in Spring, so I’m just curious :)

thanks

Thanks :). I have no clue how I got the single, it wasn’t even on my preference list. I guess Stern is just not that popular, and singles are apparently reserved for upper division students with housing guarantee (transfers) not only students with disabilities.

I don’t know how your chances for Spring are… All singles could be already assigned BUT I’d say you still have a shot. It’s definitely not impossible to get a single even if you are not disabled (I’m not). If you are a girl, go for Stern!

@SmartPants: I think my answers to the questions you have to answer in the housing application were responsible for me getting a single.
I indicated that I prefer a very clean roommate that doesn’t smoke, I don’t like to share belongings, and that I usually wake up very early (5-6am).

^we are complete opposites! i said i would share everything, that i get up at noon, and that i want my roomie to be as messy as i am…lol it’s going to be craayyy

Lol. I come off as a selfish neat-freak who doesn’t sleep through the survey answers! I guess they didn’t want to let other people suffer by putting them in the same room as me. Kinda insulting, but yeah… ;)

Lets be friends!!! I got a single in Stern, so does my friend ;)

Stern triple here. It wasn’t even on my list of choices, but oh well, I’m sure it’ll still be lots of fun
Anybody else in a triple?
