Anyone interested in NYC colleges?

<p>Hi all, I am a student at Parsons in Manhattan, and am doing a project on students interested in coming to school in NYC (Parsons, FIT, NYU, Columbia, etc) who are not originally from the area. </p>

<p>I was just wondering what is your expectation of living in NYC and why do you want to come here? Do you think shows like Sex and the City and Gossip Girl are realistic? What are your hopes and fears of city life? What resources have you used to prepare for life at an urban university?</p>

<p>Any and all feedback would be appreciated! :) And if anyone has Q's about life in NYC as a student, I can definitely try to help you out!</p>

<p>my expectations for life in NYC are nothing like Gossip Girl and Sex and the City. I don't expect to go to lavish parties and club hopping every night. Those shows aren't realistic and I wouldn't want the lifestyle of Gossip Girl anyway. I do expect to have more things to do, compared to where I live now (suburbs), and there are definitely more opportunities in NYC.</p>
