Anyone interested in switching into Balch

heyyy... i have a REALLY big single in Balch with two closets and its adjoining with a room that it shares a sink with. I requested co-ed and still really wanna be in a coed dorm. Is anyone (in a single or double) interested in trading with me. It is possible, and I would be SOO SOO SOO incredibly grateful.

I would love to if I didn't end up there. I'm still waiting for my housing assignment and the stupid housing site is telling me that I'm not logged in everytime I try to access it even though I am.

You're nuts! Take the balch single!

You can see your guy-friends whenever you want, but don't give up the huge room with your own sink!

Even the co-ed dorms are often segregated into halls, floors, or areas by sex.

I need to switch. I'm so upset about this. I need to find someone who would switch with me. How do I find someone i need help.

Reflections, did you request Balch?

Please see what I wrote regarding Balch- just give it a chance! If you still HATE it come September, you can request to switch then. College is about new experiences and even people I know who didn't request Balch/didn't want Balch/wanted out had a great time. And no, I'm not just making that up to satiate you.
However, by all means, switch if you so desire.

I really want to, but they wont switch me.

I'm in a townhouse and might be willing to switch with you if you were willing...but is it true that Balch singles are more expensive?

I don't think they're any more expensive....but because it's a women's residence, I never gave it much thought.

Singles are more expensive than doubles, it matters not the residence hall. I think the difference is $800/semester.

yea theyre more expensive. Theyre really big in Balch so i guess its worth it for the size.

jess, whats your screen name?

oh i really dont mind switching. haha. but we arent supposed to switch, are we?

omg r u serious??? no, i called today and they said it was ok to do a direct switch. what dorm are you in. whats your sn? haha sry im hyper

you are absolutely insane to give up a balch single...some of the most social girls i know lived in balch. it's no inhibitor on your social life at all, and you'll have a huuuuuge room, with like, an armchair, and most of all a sink. I don't think they give the guys sinks in our rooms because they know we'd just pee in them...

i dont wanna be in an all girls dorm.

man im kind of starting to want a balch room the more i hear about how nice they are and the more i think about how crappy my room in the low-rises will probly be... are the lowrise singles a lot worse than the ones in balch?

yea but it depends how much u want co-ed. theyre a lot smaller. there are a lot of girls who are stuck in balch so if you dont mind being in it it would be a very nice gesture.

every room is a lot crappier than balch. balch is probably as nice or nicer than your room at home, excluding the bed. the beds are all twin XL, but yeah...antique style furniture, sink in room, massive, lots of closets, gothic architecture...balch is pretty sweet. I love going there haha, and not just because of the girls.

Ha, my gf lives in balch. She has a double room as a single, so her room is literally twice the size of my double in Court Hall, she has two closets and a sink room. She didn't request to be there either, but got along with everyone really well.
