anyone international here?

dude, i haven't gotten anything!
my mailman is eating my mails?

....

HAPPYGGAL!
do you have aim?

Ah, I share the pain of FA applying internationals. I became non-international right after applying to schoools (I got really lucky).
Good luck to everyone!

If you have applied to FA when you applied to Wellesley, you WILL get FA if you need it. So it means they won't take you at all from the first place if they are not going to give you any financial aid. Yeah, sometimes wish for rich parents, don't we? Hehe.

To salome:

Canadian girls in this forum unites , whether being accepted or not, O' CANADA.

I get in a lot of mails but, not a FAT E from W at this moment. Shall we still keep hoping? Say it out Canadian girls.

LOL

yea i have aim and it's same as my CC name;)

Any Vancouverites?

so gece, what I meant by stats is really just what you got on your SATs, your GPA, and other activities, and what you think got you in. It's probably a little late in the game, but at least I'll know their standards for international RD students, lol

my stats are as follows;
satI wri750 cri.rea.700 math750
satII wri730 mathIc720 lit670
gpa 4.42 (out of 5)
recommendations: very good,i think that this was what got me admitted.
essay: also very good.
the thing is my essay was about my literature teacher who wrote my recommendation and i think it went well together. the reader probably saw the both sides of our interaction and got a good sense of me as a student.
ec:nothing much, just some tutoring, piano and tennis.
of, and also i'm in IB.

so has any other international RD'ers, and i mean, NOT living in the States gotten their decisions yet?

gece, I'm in IB too! What's your predicted?

And to chic et chouette, I haven't gotten anything!

Ahh Mail Wont Come!!!

i dont know yet.i mean the teachers havent told us anything, i dont know if they wrote something on our transcripts. probably 6 on my two hls, which are english and turkish and a 5 in my other one - business and management. the rest will probably be lower, 3 or 4 in my sls most likely - they are environmental systems, social studies and maths. what are yours?

OMG OMG OMG I GOT ACCEPTED!!!!
OMG OMG OMG OMG !

congratulations =)

woo hooo internationals united! :)

congratzz dinosaurrawr!!

awww thanks deaarrrr.
are you coming to wellesley?!

yes, i think i'm coming.

Congrats EVERYONE!!!

I'm Korean too :) but I have US citizenship (I lived most of life in Korea though) and now I live in cincinnati. I didn't apply for financial aid either since my parents don't pay tax because they live in Korea. (btwn I still don't know how to fill out the css profile thing) So basically if I do get in I have to pay full price. Does anyone know if merit aid is competitive at W?

hey H2O!!
woo hoo! korean internationals... ish kinda - united!
i spent 11 years in Korea and immigrated to the states.

since you are an US citizen, read the excerpt below:

Wellesley is one of the few remaining schools with a need-blind admissions policy. All of our students have been admitted regardless of their financial need; merit is the only factor considered in admission. Over 80% of our students have graduated in the top tenth of their high school classes and bring a rich variety of talents and backgrounds to Wellesley. In turn, financial aid awards are based only on financial need. We do not offer academic, athletic or other scholarships.

according to the financial aid office website.

I don't think Wellesley give out merit scholarships, right?

hmm i don't know.
but but but you should still come to wellesley!
we can be korean international buddies-ish :)
