That’s quite a strong record of achievement, and I (an Owl mom and Rice fan) can’t imagine a B here and there would steal much thunder. I hope your essays/recs show how these activities would make you a competitive and collaborative Owl, with lots to add to the campus. Good luck to you!

Antarius, my school doesn’t rank but if i did I would be about 10-15/800.

Ottoline, my main common app essay was a story that described my character and personality, would you advise writing the main supplement essay about my activities/ interests then?

I would guess that readers will recognize your strong drive and leadership abilities from your ec’s and recs-- and then will get to know you even more personally through your first essay. And if your second essay can help readers see what you could bring to campus, based on what you’ve learned through your ec’s, I think you would have the potential of landing a merit award, as my son did about four years ago. I would NOT use this essay as an opportunity to point out your wins as much as to pinpoint some of the hurdles and how they were handled, what you’ve learned, and hope to scale in the future. Help them picture you starting or reviving a club on campus …

You look in pretty good shape. I would say 60-80% chance, depending on what you accomplished as president of your investing club. But of course, that’s my guess .
