take a look at "teach yourself trigonometry" by P. Abbott and Hugh Neill

there are some typos in it though...

I am self-studying the subject myself. I'm using "What is Mathematics?" By Richard Courant. It starts at the basics, but it extends beyond highschool/early college (goes up to topology, calculus, number theory, etc). But be warned, this isn't a "For Dummies" or high school book. It's pure mathematics. No nonsense, and the excercises are tailored to prove that f(8) or sinx equals or whatever. So a "For Dummies" book might be a good complement.
