<p>So..does anyone know any 3.2-3.4 GPA admits last year to UCSD, UCSB, UCI WITHOUT tag non impacted major last year? I swear I saw maybe a good handful.</p>

I too have seen a lot of admits with sub 3.2 GPAs get into UCD,UCI,UCSC,UCSB without the TAG to what seemed like non impacted majors. Any ideas?</p>
<p>I’ve seen a TON from non-impacted majors. Never from a Bio major/Engineering applying to UCSD without tag. I wonder what this years cutoff will be. Last years was a 3.2 for non-impacted WITHOUT tag.</p>

<p>Every UC has a different cutoff for different majors. For UCSD, I notice a ton of people getting into non impacted majors without tag with a 3.2+. 3.1’s were normally rejected without tag.</p>
<p>I agree. I’ve seen people get in to UCSD with 3.2s, but to non-impacted majors. UCD has a low cutoff for non-impacted majors. I believe it’s anywhere from 2.8-3.1 without TAG for non-impacted major.</p>
<p>Awesome! Yeah, UCSD seems kinda “hard” to get into nowadays. By the way, I read your other posts and Econ seems to be more of a popular major on campus’ than Sociology. I’m applying to UCSD with Sociology and I have a 3.3

<p>I’m managerial econ, it’s sorta different from regular econ. I believe it’s a really non-impacted major. Sociology is like the 4th most popular transfer major at UCD I’m actually a psych major but i changed my major to managerial econ so I could get in since it’s so hard for psych/socio majors to get in with my gpa. I think you stand a good chance at UCSD with a 3.3! You still have this semester to bring it up to a 3.5 or above. With a 3.5 I believe you’re in. I’ve heard that you should aim for the TAG GPA for the best chances to get into your respective UC because they’re the ones that are guaranteed with that GPA. How are your pre-reqs? I don’t have such a stellar GPA either, a 3.26 MAX by the end of fall. I’m more of a UCD person though haha. UCSD would be a dream though, but it’s too far away from home for my family lol. good luck eggyham!</p>

<p>Yes, a friend of mine got accepted to UC Davis and UCI with a 2.7 GPA as a History major</p>
