I am researching colleges like crazy, and am confused about the BA/BFA deal at Hofstra. If I were interested in pursuing a BFA, would I audition as a senior in high school or as a first year BA student?

Help would be MUCH appreciated.

You apply to Hofstra for the BA theatre program and you can audition for a scholarship in March if accepted. You then audition for the BFA program near the end of you Freshman year. I am sure you are judged also from your participation in Freshman acting classes, but I don’t know this for sure. My daughter was accepted to the program but wanted a sure BFA program so declined their acceptance once she was accepted into one of her first choice BFA schools. I believe the program is good and she would not have applied if she had not thought she would be happy there.
