Guess the title says it all. Haven't heard from Tufts yet, but other schools have come out with stats.

I was wondering the same thing actually. I've heard that some schools have reached record-breaking amount of applicants, and others had to extend deadlines since they didn't have enough. Maybe Dan knows about Tufts?

I haven't heard any exact numbers, but last year the total applications exceed 15,000, and I heard that total applications (not just RD) this year might be a little less.

Gosh, I hope so.

Less competition = more chance of admission! :)

i read somewhere, i think on this board actually, that most private schools were expecting less applications this year because of the economy and students not being willing to pay the high prices that private schools ask for... so i wouldnt be surprised if that happened to tufts, but then again Tufts is an elite school so they should have no problem finding students

I have seen schools that are totally needs blind go up in applications, like Harvard. But I was wondering if there increase is due to the high amount of aid that is given at moderate income levels.

RD apps down 4%

Tufts Daily - Tufts sees 12 percent rise in ED1 acceptances
