Anyone know of someone whose acceptance was rescinded because their self-reported GPA was miscalculated ( ie did not match the GPA calclated by UC after the transcript was reviewed?)

Know of someone who had their application rescinded because the applicant neglected to self-report a D on a required course ( reported the higher grade they got the 2nd time around)?

You don't hear about it too often because it happens in the summer--after graduation. The UCs DO get your transcripts after you graduate to verify what you reported in your application was true and you didn't bomb your senior year. I had a friend who had his UCLA admission recinded and he didn't even have any Ds. Just alot of Cs. It sucked.

When I applied to UC Davis last year I forgot to include an F I recieved during Freshman year (in Ceramics class :)) and both semesters of a general science class which I got Bs. I also misreported a B as an A in freshman math. I noticed these errors shortly after I was accepted and contacted the university about them. I was instructed by an admissions counselor to fax my transcript. I was told that the admissions counselor made notes on my original application and that their decision to accept me was going to be upheld (though the email seemed pretty serious).

If you misreported something on the application I suggest that you be upfront about it as soon as possible (preferably before they find out themselves). It probably helps if the class that you misreported was insignificant regarding admission decisions in the first place, though.

my senior gpa is well above 3.0
no D's
no F's

but there is a minor discrepancy between the self report and my actual transcript..
i had to drop an AP class to fit in another science to graduate
I emailed the school (ucsd)
and they said..

"thank you. i will add this to your file"
BEST WISHES

sigh i am worried about this as well. i got well above a 3.0 UW last semester no Cs, but i am worried about getting a C in math this semester.

Thanks for responses. The case I am thinking about is someone who may have intentionally miscalucated their GPA and /or left of a D or F in a 11th grade required class. ( A little bit different scenario than the problems with not maintaining grades in senior year).

I do know that the senior year grades will get you rescinded. Someone close got rescinded from one of the Cal State schools due to a D in 2nd semester senior year.

Okay, this sounds like a stupid question, but....

On my Undergraduate application, on the Self-reported course section, I simply overlooked the phrase UC-approved honors courses. Therefore, I typed the courses I took, for example, Honors Chemistry in my high school, and typed in HL(for Honors Level), even when it wasn't UC-approved Honors course. I got accepted into Berkeley for fall semester. Will my mistake jeopardize this acceptance? Can I correct this mistake somehow?
