Anyone know of first generation scholarships? (kid of immigrants)

I've been told I'm "first generation", because I'm the first generation born in America, but not the first to go to college in my family. My teacher told me to go look for scholarships, but I haven't found anything so far offering scholarships to children of immigrants. Has anyone found anything like this? Aside from that, does anyone know of any schools that would consider me "first generation"?

No you are not first gen for college admission.

Erin’s Dad is correct. First gen for college admissions means first gen to attend college (anywhere), not first gen in the US. While there are varying definitions of first gen, you would not qualify for any of them.

While I’m sure they exist, I honestly didn’t come across any first gen (either definition- I am both) scholarships when I was looking.

Depending on where your parents are from though, there might be some ethnic/heritage scholarships. That would probably be a better avenue for you.
