Anyone know of summer internships (medical/engineering) still available-HS Student

<p>A friend of mine asked me to help her try to find a summer internship/volunteer program that still has openings available for her son who is an upcoming senior. His first choice was in the medical field and his second choice would be engineering. His stats are:</p>

<p>4.2 GPA
Classes taken: AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, Calculus C (college course-he set the curve!), AP Physics, Honors Biology, Honors Chemistry (A's in all of these classes)</p>

<p>As a senior he will take: AP Bio, AP Micro, AP Macro</p>

<p>SAT 1: Math - 770
SAT 11: Physics - 700
SAT 11: Math2 - 730 </p>

<p>Any advice appreciated!</p>

<p>It is way too late for any of the formal programs. They had deadlines long ago. At best, he can hope for privately arranging something with a professor or doctor and it will probably be along the lines of shadowing them, rather than a true internship.</p>
