how many EA applicants were there this yr compared to previous yrs?

badump bump.

Does it really matter?

no it doesnt, just curious (and anxious).

4165 applicants this year...it was like a single digit increase over last year. 2 years ago early applications dropped by 50% since harvard threw out early decision

That's weird, you'd think early action applications would go up if ED was no longer an option--Also, I thought Harvard never had ED? Anyhow...

i think that harvard only recently became single choice ea

causality

2008
stanford ED --> SCEA liberalization
yale ED --> SCEA liberalization
harvard unrestricted EA --> SCEA restriction

Right. It wasn't because Harvard dropped EA, but it was more because Stanford and Yale dropped ED (which is generally unpopular). Stanford and Yale grabbed a lot of potential Harvard EA'ers and still do.

o my mistake about ed harvard.

Justice~: causality

Wouldn't it be... causation (?)

the Merovingian says causality
