It's all in the title. Does anybody know whether or not we can expect things from Yale a bit early? Or do we have to wait another two weeks or more?

No clue :(

anisky--did you ever call yale about what to do regarding acceptances from other schools that require deposits before they even give their decision? i was just going to call them about it tomorrow.

who else has yale as their first choice?

No, I didn't... I decided that I'd choose UChicago, Rice, or Wellesley (one of them) over Smith anyway, and all of those have deadlines May 15 or later... so there was no real reason to do it.

when i called about 2 weeks ago, they said that theyll be released in mid-may. so it looks like about another 2 weeks. dammmmm

I emailed Yale about two weeks ago and they said they would contact me towards the end of the month (April). Well, it's May 2...hmmmmmmm...

I called admissions this morning. The receptionist told me that she thought they might be sending them out earlier than the 15th, but she was not sure and reffered me to the transfer office. no one was there.

No one is ever there!:(

no one's ever at harvard's when i call either....

how come everyone else seems to be releasing before the 15? Grrr.

-Annie

Actually, I was able to speak with Harvard's transfer coordinator; I did not apply, however.

does anyone know when the decisions came out last year?

Thomas: when you emailed them did they know that it was you specifically (the fact that you're a non traditional)? I'm just wondering b/c you found out about georgetown much earlier than everyone else, so maybe they're giving you a break somehow by telling you sooner?

efs424,

If you search the archives, you will see individuals posting their placement on the waitlist; the thread-date was May 10th.

bump......

so maybe this monday then? last year the 10th was the 2nd monday in may

efs424...That's what I thought, but Yale and Brown were the only two schools I applied to that have me waiting with the other transfers, even though I am a non-traditional applicant. So, I will be receiving my decision with all other transfer applicants...I wish they would hurry up...

When you say non-traditional for Yale do you mean the Special Student Program? I was told that they will not be making decisions until after everyone interviews in late May?

I did not even know yale did interviews.... ?

They do for the Special Student Program, which is their non-traditional student program. It is a different applicant pool than traditional transfers. From what I understand all Degree Special Student applicants are required to interview with the Dean of the Program.

Does that mean all people of the non-traditional age (me 26) are considered for this program?
