Way to go northrams :)

Hey I got rejected.... no biggie. The letter was mailed to my house in new jersey, so it looks like people in the north east and mid-atlantic will be getting them today. The #'s from the letter were that 3000 people applied and about 70 were accepted, which means about 2.3% acceptance rate.

holy crap thats a lot of applicants! they usually get 850 ish!

thanks for the congrats guys! and dont get down phoenix!

Wow! I'll probably get rejected tomorrow LOL since I live in FL and it takes time for mail to reach me :(

Weird, my letter said that 700 applied and less than 30 were accepted.

I guess one of them was a typo?

Strange that they sent out two different ones.

3,000 does seem a little extreme

hmm rejected here too. oh well, I knew yale was a long shot.

i am praying for Brown and Duke otherwise itll be UVA or Georgetown for me (which isnt so bad either).

it may have been 700 and 30... i go to school in chicago and my mother just gave me the info over the phone... not that it really matters. That is still 4.2%

How is the acceptance and rejection envelope?

I was rejected.

Northrams, congratulations:)

What are your stats, if you do mind posting them?

Rejected as well,
congratulations again to northrams

northrams,

Scratch my last post, I found them.

northrams, please post your stats. I apolgize for not being able to find them.

in fact i encourge everyone to post stats so they can compare and establish a trend (why they were accpeted, rejected)

i personally did not apply to yale.

With only around 30 individuals accepted out of a little less than 700, I think establishing any "trend" in this regard is problematic and of speculative value at best.

Dude, I got in too! I can't believe it. My letter said only 24 people got accepted and there was no mention of how many people have applied.

I am so incredibly excited. Yale is my number one choice, too. Congrats Northrams, maybe I'll see you there!

Anisky, the University of Chicago is a great school and I hope your financial aid problems work out. And for everyone else -- I'm sure a lot of this came down to luck of the draw.

What were your envelopes like (both rejects and acceptees)?
Pls pls pls, so I don't get a heart attack tomorrow :(

can anyone post there stats who were admitted
