<p>I think that J-Pop is really overhyped. But Japanese rock, especially metal, is actually really good. My favorite band is X Japan, and I also listen to Galneryus and Luna Sea.</p>

<p>NEWS is so gay, especially their costumes and dancing. But yamapi and ryo are so so so pretty, so I forgive them. I just don't listen to them.

<p>I don't know any specific bands, but I have heard of Gackt (he's so pretty haha) and T.M. Revolution (if I remember correctly, he's pretty, too). I have tons of friends who are really into it, but I could just never really get into it. I love the Japanese culture, but the music seems over-dramatic to me and it kind of all sounds the same...there's always too much techno or too much guitar in the background. I guess that's why I'm more of a Jack Johnson or Sublime fan.</p>
<p>I have liked the song for the Japanese Drama, Hana Yori Dango, and there's this song by SMAP called Sekai Ni Hitotsu Dake No Hana that I think is really cute.</p>
<p>But does anybody have any other good recommendations for Japanese artists? I'd like to hear some more. :]</p>

<p>Have you guys heard of the band GREEEN? Check out the 'be free' video on youtube (try the MV one). </p>
<p>It's pretty good music. The best part is the fact that the band, whose been out for a year or so, has never shown their faces in public. I looked them up in Wikipedia haha. It's pretty cool; they're a band made of dentists : D !</p>
