Anyone live at 100 Midtown

apartments or somethiing or other lofts. LOL Actually, if D goes to Gatech, she'll live on campus her freshman year, but I am looking into options around campus for later. I'm really curious about these two ... especially 100 midtown. Can you get to campus on a shuttle? Is it safe having to walk to campus from there? Ins and outs ... would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I know they have the Stinger Shuttle, but I know nothing about apartments/lofts/etc, but that's probably because I'm also a senior in HS. If you find anything before anyone else posts in here, lemme know. :D

You could consider the various apts. on 10th street, and even the homes that go up for rent in the Home Park area.

I don't know about recently, but in the past Home Park has been somewhat high crime because it's in the "student ghetto". For a guy it might not be a big deal, but for your D it may not be safe enough. I have had friends that have been mugged in that area. There are a few good apartment complexes close to campus, but a friend of mine found a great gated one about 20 minutes on MARTA away that's cheap and quite safe. The Tech Trolley goes to the MARTA station about 8 blocks northeast of Tech Square so there's not much walking involved.

I have lived at 100 Midtown for 2 years and really like it. I have never had a problem with safety and I have never heard of any problems.

I do know several people that have lived in the Home Park area and most of them either had their apt or car broken into. I would STAY AWAY from Home Park.

yall are ridiculous. I have plenty of friends guys and girls that live in Home Park. Its not that bad and has the same amount of crime as anywhere else in the city. 100 Midtown is also a great apartment and fairly close to campus. My friends walk to class. It'd be suppose to get an apartment where you have to take Marta bc there are so many apartment complexes near campus.
