My son is moving into the University run apartments, The Garden’s M&N. He lived in a dorm this past year and we decided it would be best to stay near the university one more year. Has anyone lived here? Any tips or information about the place? My son chose a 2/2 apartment so there will be 3 others plus him. Not only was it cheaper, but he thought it would give him a better chance at some new friends.
Yes, my older daughter (also a Mechanical Engineer) lived there her sophomore year! She also had 3 roommates in the two bedroom-two bath apartment. She really loved living there. As she had lived in the honors dorms the year before, she loved the new front-loader washer/dryer in the unit as well as having a newish-kitchen. She also observed there are quite a few families who also live there so she found it a quieter complex. Although she has a car, she did take the bus to the engineering buildings and that was never a problem.
