I applied to 4 places; heard back from three. 2 rejections and 1 waitlist.

If I don't get into Penn... well...

ive gotten the same thing. i cant do anything about it though so we'll see.

I'm at Penn and haven't heard from Harvard . . . it would be nice to have another option, but Yale doesn't accept anyone, I didn't bother applying, and Stanford has a reputation for not liking people from my region (the midwest), so I'm at Harvard's mercy.

Ya I know kids who got into Stanford, Harvard, Dartmouth, and Oxford but rejected at Yale. crazy place.

waitlisted at Brown, rejected from Yale! oh well! good luck everybody!

eh.....i sorta quality

i got chicago and rice under my belt (but i mean, i got into those places last year)

i am really down to UPenn and Duke (still haven't heard)

Culumbia waitlist, and brown reject

Rejections from both Columbia College and Yale render it highly likely that I'm going to be at Berkeley next year.

yeah i feel the same way about georgetown.

Rejected from Rice.
Withdrew from NYU.
Just Harvard and Stanford left -- but those were never really actual hopes.

Oh well. Staying at my current school is not the end of the world, which is why I did not apply that aggressively this year.

I just hate the prospect of having to face my professors, well not face them but having them ask me why I'm back next semester or having the people at my school's registrar's office and mailing center give quizzical looks and annoying stares that scream "duh! how in the world did you expect to get into HYS!"

Yup, I've been dealing with that exact same thing for almost a year, haha (I applied last year to Harvard and Stanford as well, and a number of other schools that all rejected me). And now I'm back in a class with the professor who wrote my recommendation last year, haha. You learn to not let it bother you. You have to.

oh the depression- omg, it must have been pretty tough for u- did u have to ask the same professors for recs again?

No, different ones that I ended forming closer relationships with. Eh, they were all happy to see me stay; and the opportunities I had to stand out here were comforting.

I seriously cudn't bear all this three times in a row (counting frosh admission~) kudos to u janel! I hope Harvard and Stanford take u-

nah, I think I'll just sit my ass down here for the next three years if things don't work out..sniff sniff...

Thanks, haha. What school do you attend now, bumpity?

ill.wesleyan-
I like it a lot but it's not harvard...hehe~!
