My friends tell me that I should apply to CSUN or CSULB as back-ups, but I feel like I worked too hard to go to a Cal State. I don't qualify for the fee waiver so why apply to a Cal State if I have no intention on going? I'm applying to UCLA and UCB, with UCSD (tag) and UCI as my back-ups.

I’ve got a 3.778… not putting in all this effort to go to a CSU. Hopefully I can TAG UCSB and UCSD for Fall 2010(need to meet with a counselor this week).

It’s sad though… it doesn’t seem like anyone from my school wants to go to UC’s. I just don’t understand it, it’s so easy to get into a top tier university (i mean 3.0 at JC can TAG you into most of the UC’s… really easy to get) yet very few use the opportunity.

Im not applying to any CSU’s. It’s a waste of time. Why take an extra speech class that is not required for UC, to go to a lesser school? If anything UCR could be everyones back-up or “safety”

Im not saying you should apply to a CSU but you should take speech its one of the most valuable classes that I have taken in my undergrad experience.

i took public speaking as well…absolutely useless class. learned nothing about comm concepts…only expected to give dumb speeches on even dumber topics.
