My friend here in NY is still waiting. Anyone else have that problem?

suggest to your friend to email or call chicago. i'd bet theyd be willing to tell since its past when he shouldve gotten it; if they wont tell now, id also be surprized if, after a few more days, they dont loosen up and divulge it.

Do we assume Chiconobel was rejected outright? I think he's been on Ivy boards-- but he's MIA here.

i miss him...

yeah its kinda weird i havent gotten mine yet. it really sucks cuz i was expecting to be one of the first to receive my decision since i live so close to chicago. i emailed my adcom but havent heard from her yet. ah well... hopefully i'll get it soon

i didn't hear until saturday, and i live in manhattan--most manhattanites heard friday. my guidance counselor said that it being the holidays and all, stuff does happen with the mail, or it goes more slowly, or envelopes get stuck together, or sent to the wrong zip code etc. but your friend has waited a due amount of time (they were postmarked the 14th). give them a call and at least explain the situation.

yeah so i just found out that im in the regular notification pool even though online on the "check credentials" page it clearly said "applied as: early action." damn this really sucks butt. i guess thats why i havent heard yet. oh well. only three more months of waiting.

wait--did you get your early app in on time?! did you check the early box on the app? call them up and ask, because if you did those things it was they who messed up and you should let them know so perhaps you can find a solution to your problem.

yeah my app was received oct. 21st.. at least thats when i got the email that they had my app. The last thing on my credentials page to arrive were my ACT scores - they were received Nov. 11th. I emailed my adcom again so that they could go over their files once more. I want to know what happened but i also dont want to get myself in bad standing with the school so im not going to press the issue any further than this. it sucks, yeah but im gonna have to live with it. blah.

So, my friend called them. Apparently, they sent it to the wrong address. They resent it to the right address now, she should get it in a couple of days.

what a relief for your friend! i sure hope he/she is accepted after all the hullabaloo...

Alex, could you have been deferred and not found out somehow?

i dont think so because my adcom specifically said i was in the "regular notification" pool.

Dima, I think I know who you are talking about. Stuyvesant, right?

well, i got my denial on the 16th, with the letter saying it was written on the 15th, and postmarked on the 14th. Damn liars! lol

yeah but if you're deferred you're moved to the regular pool...good luck anyway
