Anyone NOT going to prom?

Wait…If you have a bf why do you need a date? I’m confused :/

okay I don’t have a boyfriend at this present time. But if I get one before prom, and he asks me if I wanted to go to prom, I’ll be like I rather go do something else.

Kapeesh? :)

My school doesn’t have a prom. I went to my girlfriend’s senior prom last year, and this year I might go to the local Gay Prom with one of my guy friends.

At my school you can go to prom as a junior (which I am this year), but I have not decided if I will go. It is more of a senior thing/I would end up going with friends anyway, so I will probably decide early spring.

Ain’t got one.
Side effect of going to a girls school :).

My boyfriend just graduated and I’m still a senior, so I’m trying to decide what to do. We have established that we are going to go to prom together (even though we recently broke up), but I still feel like it would be too painful for him if I asked a guy to homecoming. I don’t know. :/

I used to think that I wouldn’t ever go to a dance, then I got asked to one in my sophomore year and just went to my friend’s senior prom as a junior. I also went to our military ball (as fancy as a prom) two years in a row, one year with a date.

I would just say to keep your horizons open. I’m very much a forever-alone type person (or at least have the mentality) and thought that nobody ever noticed me, but apparently people did. Be a little optimistic.

And yeah, paying for it is a killer but I was cheap so uhhh.

I’m not a dance person, but I went junior year, and it was a blast! as for the date thing, so many people worry about it. Just ask a guy-friend (or girl that’s a friend!) It’s even better when the guy friend offers to pay haha

The cost to fun ratio is too high. Last year I went to see a movie with a girl and then went to an after party on prom night. Good time, low price.

I’m not sure I want to go to homecoming because 1) I’m continuously dissappointed by the guys at my school. They don’t give a crap about looking nice or being respectful. 2) The dance floor ends up smelling really bad. Like someone hasn’t washed their parts for a week bad. 3) The gym always looks crappy.

Prom, I am definitely going to. No ifs and or buts about it. It’s my last school dance with these kids and it’s a lot better without the underclassmen around.

I’m at a girls school, but we do a joint prom with our boy’s school, meanin that for the less socially active among us, it is one of the only times to meet new guys :)

GoodACT: That is great! Haha
