I sent in a request to change college at UCSD. I was admitted to Sixth College and would rather go to Marshall, Muir our Warren. Is there anyone who would be willing to send an e mail to UCSD to request a college transfer to Sixth (if you were admitted to Marshall, Muir or Warren?).

I have an email template ready so you would not even have to write the email.

I am a transfer. And after I sent my request, I got an email back saying that if someone asks to switch to Sixth from one of the colleges I want to go to, they will accommodate me.

Sorry but why don’t you want sixth? Their GEs aren’t even bad at all. I would understand if a transfer wanted out of Revelle or ERC but Sixth is pretty middle of the road.

I know a few people who go there and they have just been saying the worst things about it. I also keep reading negative things about it online and it really bothers me. I really thought I would get into one of my first three choices and figured it doesn’t cost anything to request a college change.

Dannggg that’s really unfortunate because Sixth isn’t bad at all. I mean as a transfer you don’t have to live in the dorms and that’s honestly one of the only con’s about Sixth. The GE’s are incredibly similar to Warren’s though, I’m not even just saying that. There aren’t too many and I don’t hear horrible complaints about CAT.

Well that really makes me feel a lot better! So if I end up going there it’d still be alright lol
I have to say I have heard a lot of bad stuff about the dorms…

Yeah don’t worry! As a transfer you aren’t even allowed to live in the dorms so don’t worry, it’s just GEs and they are tame compared to other colleges.

OP: I went to admit day, and I gotta say Sixth college apartments are pretty amazing. All the rumor stuff you hear about sixth isn’t true, I was thinking the same thing you were after I found out I was in sixth, but it’s all bs.
