<p>My D received a NMF letter in the mail. We are from Chicago.</p>
<p>My school was very late on my NMSF papers, so for those who haven’t been notified by the school, I’d go and directly ask the principal if he/she has received anything. I asked mine today and got my certificate.</p>
<p>School notified D to attend Nat’l Merit meeting tomorrow. Assume this will be official school notifiction. Nothing in the mail yet.</p>
<p>My D’s GC asked me two weeks ago when finalist notification would come. I gave her the timeline. We haven’t heard anything else from the school. I expect the letter at home today or tomorrow. The school will probably say something at Awards day.</p>
<p>Son got letter yesterday from Texas. </p>
<p>I hope he gets to make it for the $2500 since Wisconsin does not give to out of state NMF.</p>
<p>My son was congratulated by teachers at school yesterday and wondered why. I checked the website and it was announced he was a National Merit Finalist. He has not received the final letter at home yet.</p>
<p>I got my certificate today- after the school posted it on facebook, but the GC had possession of the certificate since yesterday.

<p>I got my certificate from the school on the third. I just got my letter at home today. I’m in Arizona. I’m the only finalist my school has ever had and I’m the only one in my entire district. I was also the only Semifinalist in my district. It’s kinda neat knowing I got the highest PSAT score of everyone in my district. :)</p>
<p>My school doesn’t do anything to recognize it. No announcement or anything. If I end up getting a scholarship it might be recognized at the Honors and Awards night, but I honestly doubt I’ll get a scholarship or mentioned at all. </p>
<p>Oh well :)</p>

<p>Received mine in CA 3 days ago. Principal brought in me and 11 other finalists. Picture taken ,etc.</p>
<p>The certificates arrived at D’s school today and will be presented during morning announcements next week. My D happened to be delivering Valentines’ Day chocolates to her grade chair when the college counselor walked up to her and congratulated her. They were so sweet they made her a copy to bring home.</p>
<p>Congratulations again to everyone…as parents, we all played a supporting role. :)</p>
<p>I was notified that I received it. How many finalists get the straight up $2,500 scholarship from NMSC? I know they say around 8,300 get one from all three types, included corporate sponsored ones. How many just get the regular one?</p>
<p>My son hasn’t heard anything from his school yet, and we haven’t gotten anything in the mail either. Is anyone else in this same situation?</p>
<p>LR4150 - My daughter hasn’t heard from her school or received a notification in the mail yet either. We live in CT. Hopefully today…</p>

<p>S received Finalist letter today in mail and school told him on 2/7 - we live in Louisiana.</p>
<p>^^We are also still waiting. I don’t think our school opens it’s mail very efficiently. MAybe the USPS will deliver at home today.</p>
