so, has anyone gotten off the waitlist? heard anything either way?

i heard today that someone got off the waitlist in the theater program. anyone else?

I haven't heard :(

I applied to Emerson for Transfer 07 from Elon University, and received a confusing array of letters!

First, I received a blank financial aid statement about a month ago, which was addressed to me. I called to inquire about my status, and was told to disregard the document as a decision had not been made for me. The next week, I got a waitlist letter, which I opted not to respond to either way-- I disregarded the letter completely, and assumed I'd stay at Elon. Then, yesterday, I got a Welcome admissions package.

I am utterly, amazingly, incredibly confused!

I'm going to be a freshman this fall at Emerson, and just a heads up for the waitlist kids, all the freshman just got letters from emerson saying that an excessive amount of freshman accepted their acceptance this year and they have to put about 90 freshman up at the doubletree. So I don't know if they are going to take anyone off the waitlist. Just thought I'd give you guys the heads up

Hey Anna!

They actually do that almost every year :-P Emerson has a contract with the Doubletree for "spillage" -- this probably wouldn't effect Transfer students, as they do not get housing on "campus". Thanks for the concern and the heads up though! I'm looking forward to coming to Emerson!
