Anyone on north campus interested in living in Hinton James?

Hi! My roommate and I were assigned a dorm in Hinton James (with a/c), even though we didn't request that dorm. We put North campus dorms as our top choices, and the housing department told that as of now, our only hope for getting on North is to find a pair of girls who want to switch with us. We're both very involved in theater and we're probably going to be at a lot of late night rehearsals, so our parents aren't too thrilled at the thought of us commuting from North to South campus at 11 or 12 at night. If anyone is interested, please let me know!

Good luck with that...

In case you're worried, the p2p (point to point bus) runs from 7pm-3am everyday. It stops at Hinton James.

Don't worry about the distance--the P2P can take you wherever you need to go at any time. If it's past 3 am, there is a van you can call to escort you. Also, I'd say walking around on North Campus at night is probably more unsafe than South as it's closer to Franklin (not that the campus really feels very unsafe at all in general when you're walking--just be smart & cautious and don't walk alone at night, wherever you live!).

Not likely going to happen so.... Don't worry. You will be ok, take the p2p almost door to door . You will actually like the location--near a lot of freshmen, the dining hall (Ram's head) and you will get used to the walk to north for classes. Besides there are lots of people out walking to south campus from town or libraries until weee hours I hear. My D had north campus her freshman year and really felt she missed some of the experience.
