I am. Just wondering if there is anyone else. I’m also going for the Gordon B. Hinckley Scholarship.

This is fun. La la la. I'm trying to pass time waiting for my Stanford decision if anyone reads this. Anyone else apply to BYU?

I just realized that if I keep posting here it adds to my post count without me really having anything to say...

Anybody out there..................

Anybody.............

Is it typical for Mormons to use the internet?

You must be joking, right? That's the funniest thing I've heard all day! (BTW, if you are serious, of course we use the internet. We aren't Amish. And, not everyone is the stereotypical Mormon that you might have heard about)

Hello, flipchick. It was said tongue-in-cheek, don't worry..... :-)

I come from a very religious family myself and because of the way my parents chose to manage their household, I was often the brunt of these types of jokes.

So, no, I don't really think that Mormons live without electric light. ;-)

Ok, I understand Daniel. To tell the truth, I'm pretty darn happy we get to use electricity! I don't know what I would do without it! I'm addicted to this site. I can't seem to pull myself away from it. It would be very difficult to keep coming if I didn't have electricity! Then again, maybe no electricity would help me get over my obsession. :)

If anyone cares I just got my stake interview so everything is now sent in to BYU besides my Gordon B. Hinckely Scholarship stuff. :)

Hahaha...I have a friend visiting me who lives in Provo (though she is not a Mormon) and I must say I hear a lot of interesting stories...no offense, though, like Daniel said you can do that with any religion

BYU is not my first choice by any means, but I can certainly get good scholarship money there, and that is a good incentive.

BYU has a great deal cost-wise. I had my application and everything in months and months before the deadline and then ended up withdrawing it along with the rest of my apps after getting in early somewhere else. SO sad... BUT! I have 3 friends who just got in and I a mvery excited for them!

Congratulations for your friends and on your early acceptance! I have two friends who have gotten in. I'm still waiting for my decision though.

So did you get into Stanford Flipchick?

I was deferred, which I can't complain about really. They don't defer as many people as most schools, so I still have a chance.

So i guess you didn't apply to BYU-Idaho? hehe. I dont see many BYU applicants in my ward, all BYU-Idaho, although i can't really comment on how good the education really is, although i hear it is extremely cheap.

Sorry, no BYU-Idaho. There are three of us in my ward appying to BYU in Provo, but no Idaho's. I'm not sure how the education is there either.

Well, anyone who cares, I got in! Now I just have to wait for scholarships. Then I have to wait to hear from HYPS, Duke, and Northwestern :) I must say though, that Purdue is looking nicer every day with all of the new offers they keep sending me, so we'll have to see what BYU gives me :)

I can't wait until april....
