Anyone out there good at logical reasoning?

Im pretty sure this doesn't belong here but i have to take a diagnostic test for my test prep class and Im hopelessly confused about how to answer logical reasoning questions. For example: if tom goes to the movies, then Spiderman is playing. If tom goes to the movies, then jane will go to the movies. Which must be true? I don't have the answer choices because its not just this question, just general logical reasoning questions. I wanted to see if I can finally understand it before asking the teacher. Can someone help? If you need examples, I'll post some later.

i’m a little confused; i think i need a bit more information.
the first one can’t be true unless otherwise stated. the second one can be true, but can also not be true. so you need more background information to answer the question…

I’m pretty good at logical reasoning. Post some and I’ll help you get the idea.

Ok. Thanks. Here are a few of the questions

Athletes who accept money to endorse brand X cola are expected to appear in at least 3 commercials for the cola per year. Basketball star Patrick Ewing appeared in only one commercial for brand X cola last year.
Based on the information above, which of the following statements is a valid conclusion?
F. Ewing did not accept money to endorse brand X cola
G. If Ewing were playing better, he would be appearing in more commercials
H. If all athletes appeared in only one commercial for brand X cola, no one would buy it
J. If Ewing accepted money to endorse brand X cola, he has not done what is expected of him
K. Ewing must do public appearances for brand X cola to make up for mixed commercials.
This question was pretty easy, (answer is J) but we’re supposed to use contrapositives to figure out the answers for questions and Im not really sure how to use them.
This is a question we’re supposed to use a contrapositive for.

Playing in front of a large crowd always makes the pianist nervous.
According to the statement above, which of the following must be true?

A. Some pianists do not become nervous when playing in front of a large crowd
B. the pianist isn’t playing in front of a large crowd if he isn’t nervous
c. The pianist isn’t nervous when he isn’t playing in front of a large crowd
D. If the pianist never played, he would never become nervous
E. if the pianist is nervous, he is playing in front of a large crowd.

Last question

All scuba divers are experienced swimmers. Some experienced swimmers swim every day. No businessman swims every day.
If the statements above are true, which of the following must also be true?
A. No businessman is an experienced swimmer
B. some scuba divers are not businessmen
c. All people who swim everyday are scuba divers
D. Some scuba divers swim every day
E. some experienced swimmers are scuba divers.

Those are the different types of questions for now. I’m just confused on how to use a contrapositive.
