Hi. I am planning to transfer to Cornell as a rising junior from SUNY Binghamton.
I know it's gonna be tough with 3.6 GPA , but I want to give it a shot. Don't want to be stuck in Binghamton. So is anyone planning to apply to CALS or CAS as Econ major? or has anyone got accepted as a transfer student previously?

@JPAPAS. hey man thanks ! yea I saw few comments that CALS was little easier than CAS. I know with my gpa it’s going to be tough…but oh well. Anyways are you applying to Cornell as well? I am applying for 2014 Fall !

actually cas econ would be easier. cals econ is aem, the official business major at cornell and the most selective major at cornell because although its in cals, it’s the dyson school.

@dlee99 perhaps ^ has a point but I know that CAS transfer acceptance rate is always below 8% and that figure may contain gt’s
yes reapplying to Cornell for the spring semester.

@JPAPAS Hey JPAPAS sorry for the late reply. I was busy writing my common apps and SOP for Cornell. I think I am going to apply to ILR instead of CAS-Econ or CALS-AEM. Some people call it “back-door” but I actually want to study about Labor field of business in more depth. Never knew there was a program such as ILR. I know you got accepted to Cornell right? I read the thread. Anyways I have additional question to ask you. Do you have an email? or any way I can contact you? Thanks man!
