Anyone, please! How do you wear a men's henley?

Basically, how do you wear a men's henley? My mom got me two recently (grey and dark brown) from Ruehl No.925, and I don't really know how to wear them "correctly". I wear collared polo shirts everday (I live in CA), and I'm really used to the collar feel.

Do I wear a polo underneath the henley, and stick/fold the collar out, or just wear a t-shirt underneath? I don't want to look ackward (I've worn polos for so long that I'm going to look wierd without a collar) wearing a henley incorrectly. It's funny, because my mom bought them, but doesn't know how I'd wear them.

Thanks A BUNCH to any fashionistas (or anyone) who can help me!!!

No polos, please. A tee is fine.

wear a tank top underneath and leave a few of the top buttons unbottoned.

thanks. tried it out today (looked good!)

What's a henley? It that some sort of sweater?

henley= a long sleeve shirt with a few small buttons on the top of it (commonly in a waffle weave)

^doesn't always have to be longsleeved ex. http://www.abercrombie.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10051_10901_321451_-1_12274
thats a woman's henley though, the style of a men's henley would be a bit different.

Henley's are great for layering (depending on how cold it is where you live).

Polo/tee would be fine, you can wear them underneath if its a button-less henley.

Lots of options there is no "right way" to wear clothing... well... to an extent.
