<p>When will I hear if I've been accepted off the wait list? The other schools I was admitted to require a deposit by May 1 - should I wait until I hear from Hopkins?</p>
<p>Once again that all depends on the response from our admitted students. We may admit students from the wait list as easy as May 15 - although that has not happened in recent years - or as late as June 15, or not at all. </p>
<p>We strongly recommend that you submit your deposit to a school where you have been accepted. If you are later admitted to Hopkins from the wait list and choose to attend, you will withdraw your enrollment from the other school and forfeit the previous deposit.</p>

<p>Geezum, that's crazy. Is this the biggest jump in applicants Hopkins has ever had? What do you attribute this to?</p>
<p>weird.. I don't understand how USC has a lower acceptance rate (24%). It is a known and accepted fact that JHU is a better school..</p>
<p>more qualfied students apply to JHU since its more known world-wide.</p>

Acceptance rates are not a great determination of how "good" a school is and comparing state and private schools is very difficult.</p>

The RD acceptance rate was around 19-20% this year.</p>
