Anyone receive a confirmation of app yet?

Has anyone received a confirmation from Notre Dame that they received the application?

Thanks

No, I have not.

i got an email saying:

Hello Notre Dame applicant!

This email is to notify you that our office has received your submitted on-line application for admission.

We will mail you a letter in the coming weeks indicating whether your application is complete or whether it is incomplete and what items are still missing from your file.

We appreciate your interest in Notre Dame!

[DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL. EMAIL SENT TO THIS ADDRESS WILL NOT BE ANSWERED.]

Thanks, when did you apply? Just wondering how long it takes from the time of application and the email.

I received a letter indicating that my application was received and was complete. But I also applied before Thanksgiving for RD. They are probably MUCH busier now with RD applications.

I applied at the end of december and i got the email on january 8

JJJWalker. My D also applied at that time, but doesn't remember receiving anything in response. How much later did your letter come?

Opps...I was mistaken about some of the info. I'm getting all of my colleges mixed up. I did apply before Thanksgiving and received an email on Nov. 22 saying that my application had been received and that I would get a letter in the "coming weeks" to let me know if everything was complete. I think applying for colleges is almost a full time job, especially if you have to fill out separate scholarship forms and financial aid stuff. I applied to several state universities, it was easy, but schools like Wash U and Note Dame need a lot of stuff. How do people apply to 8-10 schools like this. The amount of paperwork must be unbelivable! Argh-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h!

Yeah, actually I applied b/f Thanksgiving RD and got a letter saying they have all the necessary materials and that I should receive a letter in the first week of April...so far away...oh, I also got a packet the other day telling me to fill out the fafsa and css profile and send them some other financial stuff like copies of W-2s...

Could you put up what was on that packet here, smartterturtle?

I'd like to know what I need to send besides FAFSA and Profile.

Well, I got a fairly thin manila envelope that had "Affording a Notre Dame Education"; a form letter that said I needed FAFSA and CSS by Feb. 15th and Parents' & Student's signed 2006 Fed. Tax Returns when available and Parents' W-2 forms when available. They also sent a little CSS profile registration and application guide. From what I heard, everyone who applied got it...but I don't pretend to know what those admissions people are thinking...as Fr. Cavanaugh in Rudy said,"Those admissions people are a funny bunch of squirrels."

By the way the paper work IS unbelievable and I only applied to six...but they were Yale, Wash. U. in St. Louis, U. of Dayton, Case, Miami of Ohio and of course, ND. Thank God for the common app in three of those cases. But I also had to worry about a couple of ROTC apps...though I'm not positive I'll follow through on those.

Ah. All right. Thank you.

My son applied on 12/31 and didn't receive anything from Notre Dame yet.

I think he'll get it very soon.

I sent my application in December and I got my confirmation letter a few weeks ago.

i sent my application in a few days after thanksgiving but sent my fee in a few days in January. I talked to the admissions office after sending it in and she confirmed that the paperwork was in but not the money. So would the letter be a few weeks after recieving the fee, or am i most likely not going to get any mail from them now?

i never got confirmation of my app, but i called admissions today and they said eveything was in!

I didn't realize that Notre Dame doesn't have alumni interviews. Just heard that recently.
