<p>Has anyone received emails from northwestern after sending their early decision app? </p>
<p>@lellywang I have not received an email from Northwestern but received emails from all other schools I applied to. I asked the admissions office an unrelated question a few weeks ago and they mentioned that I should hear about confirmation of application materials in mid-November.</p>
<p>I applied early decision as well and I haven’t heard anything either, all my other EA schools have sent me login information. I guess we will get something eventually!!</p>
<p>You do not get login information. You will receive an email with a link that takes you to another page with the results!</p>
<p>@NorthwesternDad Are you saying that we get our acceptance/declination “letters” via email and not normal mail? Or do we get our emails at the same time they send out physical letters so that we know sooner?</p>
<p>I sure hope it doesn’t go to my spam folder unnoticed like most coincidentally important emails… </p>
<p>The email comes out first with the link for acceptance or otherwise; the letter follows later on. You are better off checking the spam folder as it has happened to land there for quite a few.</p>

<p>You can always call the admissions office or email them!</p>
<p>If they use the CA, check on the CA site to see if they downloaded the application materials. Today, finally, my son’s ED choice downloaded his materials. But they have not sent out a confirmation email yet.</p>
<p>Go to “Recommenders and FERPA” in the CA under “My Colleges” and the school to check. If it only says “Submitted” they have not downloaded and printed out materials yet.</p>
<p>I emailed them earlier and they said that I will receive an email telling me which item is missing or that they have… assuming mid November as first post</p>
<p>@NorthwesternDad Neat, thanks for the info! I was hoping they’d come via email because: 1) no waiting for USPS, even though I only live in Wisconsin, and 2) I’d rather find out when I’m not around anyone else since I’m so unsure :/</p>

<p>@NorthwesternDad Thank you!! I got my ACT scores last night (second time taking it) and I’m at the same 31 I got the first time, so my mind is really a mess today 
hopefully my essays and teacher recs will compensate since they were all pretty spectacular. </p>
