Got mine today. Santa Cruz, second floor, west tower. My thrid choice (Manzanita, Anacapa, Santa Cuz). Manzanita must have been popular this year. :)

got Manzanita- Tecolote House 3rd floor
I figured I’d get Manz. though because my first 4 choices was Manzanita and then my 5th choice was San Raf.

I was pretty excited when I found out mine would be near the ocean but then I learned no ocean view because my room will be facing the inside. D: Boo…

W T F? I didn’t know you could do that! I put manzanita as my 1st choice then 6 other distinct choices…I ended up with santa cruz which was my 2nd to last pick! I reeeeally wanted manzanita though :(

I received mine yesterday. I was put into Manzanita Village. But since i’m a sophomore transfer student i wanted to be in a more social dorm. I have the choice between Santa Rosa and San Miguel. Anyone have any opinions or anything to say about these two that might help me make my pick? Any help would be appreciated! thanks

how’d you guys get into a Uni. without knowing how to get info?

just kidding.
it should tell you which ‘hall’ or part of the complext yer in. like manzanita is 4 different buildings. it will also tell you the room number.

go to the ucsb housing website and I forget where specifically but there is a map layout of the dorms - architect status.

i think it might be in the profile for the dorm/apt.

If you look closely, you will see that each room is numbered, but the map only shows the first floor. So let’s say your room # is 2207, you find 1207 which shows which way your room will be facing. Your room won’t actually be 1207 because that is the first floor, 2207 is your room which is directly above 1207.

^ yeah the ones who opted for univ apartments will be getting roomate assignments tomorrow. The first charged just showed up on my barc account today

they asked in the form " would you like a tv in your room?". I put yes, but does that mean they will provide me with one :O? Dorm, not apartment lol

@blastie: They’re not going to provide a TV for you, but they’ll pair you up with someone else who wanted a TV, too. It more of a way to make sure the people who wouldn’t want a TV in their room don’t get stuck with someone who’s going to bring a TV themselves.
