Hi! Has anyone gotten rejected or even heard about someone getting rejected? I haven't and just wondered if they keep deferring people until the very end.

I wondered the same thing. I haven’t heard anything. I hope everything works out for those individuals, though.

people do get rejected. there were some individuals in EA who did get rejected. its just people with really low stats that do though.

Most people that will get rejected first get waitlisted then rejected. The only people that directly get rejected are the ones with really low stats.

I agree with you.
deferred→waitlisted→rejected
Few people in the end can receive the admission offer.

UMich does not send rejection letters after the waitlist…I don’t even remember whether they release you…

Heck, I know kids who withdrew their applications after their deferrals who were still waitlisted…

Have never seen a rejection around these parts even with VERY low stats…

They do, they send an email stating that they cannot/will not be accepting anymore students off the wait list around mid-June.
