The UC system admissions doesn’t make much sense to me!

I was accepted into the Pre-Biology major on Thursday.

I think I remember reading somewhere (it could’ve been for one of the other UC’s though… =/) about how they release most of the decisions on the decided day but won’t officially conclude until March 31st.

I was accepted for Undeclared Letters and Science.

UC GPA: 3.6
ACT: 25
SAT: 1800

I was also accepted into UCSC and rejected from SDSU. Honestly, I think I got in to UCSB based off of my essays. I had very few extracurricular other than band, although I did play in Carnegie Hall my sophomore year, so maybe that helped a bit. I’m just glad I got in.

This is SO CC! The title of the thread is “Anyone Rejected” and the only relevant posters are laying out their acceptance stats! If you need to know why someone would hate CC that’s it.

^ metromom
the UC system can only admit a small number of out of state students because they are california public schools. UCLA had room for out of state and the other schools did not. no mystery there. UCLA is a superb school, congratulations!
