Anyone see Emma W on campus?

Must be neat to have a celeb at your school. Anyone know what kind of laptop she has?

I ask because celebs have huge influential buying power…what I mean is that if a celeb has something, others will want it!

I think it’s interesting…

This is the strangest post I’ve seen here in a long time.

^ haha yeah me too  Well, it’s a question I have and I’m not gonna lose anything by asking it :)

She no longer attends Brown, or is at least on an extended leave of absence. She hasn’t been on campus since Fall 2010.

Well, I hope she liked it while she was there.

^ This person is creepy…

My little sister says that too…never said I wasn’t  Ever people-watch in a public place? That’s the BEST!!!

I know I’m creepy, but I’m also uber-curious haha :)

I live in RI and i frequently visit the brown campus. I saw her walking around one time on thayer street, i wanted to go talk to her but that would have been super creepy so i didn’t… she was going to antonios pizza on thayer if any1 knows what i’m talking about.

Brown is prob too large of a school to know…I bet if she had chosen an LAC, things would have been a lot different! Everyone would know her.

Fuzz, I don’t think it’s creepy to talk to strangers. It’s fine to talk to random people on the street, and it’s also fine to talk to a celebrity if you see one. What is important, however, is one’s approach. One should try to seem nice and not come across as “too strong”.

“The worst that can happen is a rejection!”

I heard you guys scared her off lol. Maybe she should come to Columbia!!

I’ve heard celebrities attend Brown only because its ridiculously easy to do well there. Is this true? Is grade inflation really rampant?

All to many people mistake flexibility for lack of rigor. Look, there are tons of celebrity people at HYP, and I haven’t heard any of them concentrating in theoretical physics. The truth is, if you want to take the easy way out, you can do that at every college in the country, with the exception of Caltech. At MIT, you can switch from engineering and the sciences to business as an undergrad. Fact is, this past year, Brown had four Rhodes Scholars, about the same as Harvard, even though Harvard, overall, is at least 2 and 1/2 times larger.

I tried searching her on the Brown Directory, but I couldn’t find her. It seems that she not a student at Brown anymore. ;)

From what I understand, she took a leave of absence from Brown and is taking courses at either Cambridge or Oxford.
