Is anyone still waiting on their housing assignments? I was wait-listed and then given guaranteed-non-renewbale status, and am waiting on being assigned still. I feel like everyone else has been assigned....?

Also, I have not received a single email in regards to move in day times, procedures, etc. Is there anything I should know???

Thanks guys

The only thing I have is on my bill, but other than Rubin, I don’t know any details either.

I’m a transfer student, so I assume (if you aren’t a transfer) my deadlines/dates are going to be different from yours, but I haven’t heard anything. I think assignments go out August 9th. Doesn’t stop me from checking every single day (sometimes twice).

Where exactly are they supposed to post them?

I’m pretty sure we’ll get e-mails on the day when we are supposed to “officially” hear about housing, which is in the beginning of August. They’ll post all of the information on the Housing Application page where you initially applied for housing.

Makethemoment, I’m a transfer student as well. What dates and deadlines are you referring to lol?

I haven’t really heard anything. My application still says “z estimated charge” and I was told by the housing staff to expect an assignment end of July early September.

Early august not September ******

I haven’t gotten anything either, but I thought we (transfers) were supposed to find out August 2nd? Balls. If we have to wait another week, I’m going to be Hulktastic.

This is kind of off-topic, but did any of you go to the July transfer orientation, or are you waiting to go to the one in September? I was just curious about what was covered, and I’m worried that all of good classes are going to be closed…

i’m a transfer student too. i just looked on Albert at my bill and it no longer says “estimated charge” mine says i’ll be in lafayette.

I checked the housing website the other day at it said I have Washington Square Village 4. I think if you filed for housing like right away (I was online at midnight and had filled for housing by 12:05 am haha) then you will be finding out sooner. The latest you will find out is like August 2nd. Good luck to everyone!

Are u a grad student SallyNYU?

Yeah, I filed late and was wait-listed, then given guaranteed non-renewable so I’ll probably find out late.

ariela09 I have barely received any info on orientation and stuff. I’m going to the September orientation for sure.

Glad to know there’s a lot of other kids transferring. I’m the only person I know from my community college transferring to NYU.

SallyNYU, when was the first day to fill out the housing? I thought I had done it really early, but I guess not…

imfrickenfoofy: Except for an advertisement for care packages and a pamphlet for health insurance, I haven’t received anything at all, either. It’s not very comforting.

ariela09,

I filed on 4/15/2010 at 12:05 AM. I know how hard getting housing is so I was literally online at midnight when housing opened haha.

FINALLY! After checking upwards of five times a day for the past two months, I have finally gotten my housing assignment. I think.

On my bill it says, “Hsg - Greenwich Street”. But, my housing application has no information regarding my room number, roommate, etc.

Laaaaah. I don’t even care if it supposedly sucks and is far away from campus. I’m just glad that I’m staying somewhere.
