Yeah, northsider, I'm thinking the same. It must have been my spam filter, which auto-deletes itself every week. I didn't get a chance to check it last night before it deleted. I know I share your desperation with the matter: At one point I figured that if the email were intercepted by spam, it would be a good sign, because an email that contains words like "accepted" and "congratulations!" would more likely be sent to spam than a rejection letter. Whatever the case, if I'm rejected, so be it.

it looks like everyone waiting was and will be rejected .. i wouldn't get your hopes up, but nonetheless good luck

I would be worried about that too, but I don't even have a spam folder and I haven't received an email yet either.

My spam doesn't auto-delete. I checked again a couple minutes ago, didn't expect anything, and lo-and-behold, there was indeed nothing.

Yeah, it's not a SPAM-filter for me; but I'm just hoping that they all-out failed to send mine, as the record for late receptions isn't very promising. I'm hoping to be having to call Stanford on Monday.

deferrred -> rejected.. what a life.

Amazing that letters are still getting sent, although they're all rejections. In this case, I agree with you: I hope there was an error on their part and they have to resend it.

I cannot believe that it's running this far behind, guess it's just a testament to the issues with email. Mark my words: Next year, there will be no emailing of decisions for Stanford.

hey you guys, its me again.
Well, still no email for me. It seems like most of you guys got yours. I'm beginning to lose all hope. I'm very disappointed in Stanford. There is no reason for decisions to be coming out this late. I hope I get mine soon just so I can move on with my life...the wait is killing me. Also, its very disheartening to see that all of the late decisions have been rejections. I hope that isn't indicative of anything. Peace.

This is getting simply ridiculous. Do you think that Stanford will tell us our admissions decisions if we call them on Monday? (or will they make us wait for this ridiculously slow trickle of e-mail...?)

the website says they won't tell you over the phone; they resent the email

awww good luck to everyone still waiting :( that's horrible...

i got mine yesterday at 4:15 PM stanford time. rejected, just RD.

screw you, stanford! mit ftw......

I'm giving up for tonight. Maybe I'll get an answer tomorrow.

This is truly dreadful. My heart goes out to all of you who are still waiting. I hope a Stanford Adcom is monitoring this board and is becoming aware of how painful this email fiasco is for students who are waiting. I am frankly appalled that a top tech university in the heart of Silicon Valley has such inadequate IT infrastructure brought to bear on this problem.

................ Bulk (1).......... could it be????

OMG IT IS IT IS IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i haven't opened it yet

aaaaaaaaaaaaaand rejected.

so apparently my spam guard was on (yahoo mail) and i had the setting so that any message identified as spam would be automatically deleted...seems like Stanford mail has been identified as spam by some accounts. check if you guys have that setting...or try to contact Stanford via email guys...as for now, TURN OFF SPAM GUARD!!! and i'll just pray for a letter in my mail...

This is so awful!!!!!

koolkat- my yahoo mail was set so that spam/bulk was automatically deleted too. Though I didnt realize this until yesterday nite, so I turned it off. But no email yet. So either it was deleted yesterday afternoon or I haven't gotten it at all. Oh the agony!!

wow some of you guys STILL haven't received it? How rude.. Stanford is suchhh a snob. it's like they enjoy this torture. losers. jkjk.
