darn
hey northsider, I haven't got my email either lol. But I think its because my email deleted it as spam. Do you also have yahoo?

My son is using his school's email, and two of his classmates got reject email Friday. He is RD and still waiting.

Yeah, one of my friends got his rejection email Friday about 6:30, and he sent in his application to Stanford after I did. I just use a private email through my internet carrier, and I've checked my spam folder and still nothing from Stanford. I'm RD also.

No, my email is through my work -- and I've received other letters from Stanford just fine. I think they just failed to send mine.

Those who are RD and are still waiting - did you check to see if you provided your correct email address (CommonApp)?

Yes. I've already received email from Stanford before.

I checked the CommonApp and my email address is correct.

So, Monday morning, the original deadline and I still haven't received the letter. That's that. Stanford just forgot to send my decision. Kind of irritating, but they're still abiding by their original deadline -- but there was no sense making me anxious over the weekend.

Have they issued any statements yet as to what happened? I'm RD and about 99.9% sure I was rejected.

All right, so an update on everything:

I called the admissions office at 8:30 PT and talked with an admissions officer. They have made no official statement on what went wrong, but the man I talked to on the phone simply asked for a few simple details from me and said that they would resend the decision and that I'd receive it before 5 PM PT.

Their phone lines are jammed full right now, so my guess is they're feeling the pain from whatever did go wrong on Friday.

NorthSider, thanks for the updated.

rejected. They resent it and curiously it didnt go to spam. They were aholes on the phone, too

Apparentlly the US Mail is faster than email. While my son (RD) is still waiting for the decision email, he just got US Mail (waitlisted).

It's a bit irritating that, even after calling early this morning, I still haven't received the email after them resending. What time did you call in Tobman?

Bit irritating? You're being too nice.
This is unreal.
Never expected this from Stanford.
Since they are not sending out paper rejection letters, if you don't receive a rejection e-mail, potentially, you don't get to find out unless you call.
That really sucks.

Now I'm starting to become rather upset. Got off the phone with their admissions office a few minutes ago. They now say that they are trying to send out all the decisions, and that since I gave them my information this morning, they will be emailing me something soon, but I might not get it today -- or even tomorrow.

So, on Friday, it was going to be Friday when everyone got their decisions; earlier this morning, it was by 5 PM Pacific Time; now it's maybe today, maybe tomorrow, but if I don't get it tomorrow, then they'll start giving out decisions over the phone. How outrageous! Why can they give out decisions on Wednesday, but not today? How can they not get out their decisions in 96 hours time?

Worm Hole?

no rszanto...Gandalf is obviously doing magic from beyond the sea.

Honestly, one of the most prestigious colleges in the world is making themselves appear to have no idea what they're doing.

Four days later, still waiting. I require closure...
