Anyone take THE 2000 Theater Appreciation lately?

If so, was it web or live and what would you recommend? D needs a Humanities and Diversity and this is both. How time consuming in the class?

I've seen references to Einstein Notes. Do they still sell those for this class?

Thanks!

It has a new teacher, and its hard.

I took the live for 2 days before I replaced it.

He expected us to read some massive book of a play by friday of week 1

D’s taking Cultural Anthropology 2410. It works for the Diversity credit, which she needed to complete her Gen Eds. It also works for one more, but I can’t remember which one. Anyway, I’m linking the syllabus for that course. She has Noelle Sullivan, and she’s been very pleased with the class. Her roommate has the same class, different teacher, and there’s a HUGE difference in the amount of work they’re doing. D’s reading about 5 pages a night; her roommate’s reading about 25 pages a night. And there are other differences. But overall, she’s pleased with that class with that teacher.

Thanks, Zebes. D has enough Social Sciences, so really wanted to combine a H and D. The only other H/D ones we see are:

Women’s Studies WST3015
Women’s Autobiographies
African American Art
American Region History REL2121

Anyone have experience with these?

My daughter took Cultural Anthropology last summer with Rachel Harvey and liked her and and the class very much.

THE2000 is not that Hard. Yea the new teacher gives more work but it’s still fun. For me its actually one of those classes that lets me relax from the workload. Plus you get to see some great plays. I took it live and its not that hard. Last lecture they had an improv group come in and perform which was great. There are 2 page papers due after watching each play (3 a semester) and there are short quizzes at the end of the week for a play you read in your book.

Thanks everyone.
