Anyone taken ESPM 50AC with Kurt Spreyer?

Are the readers needed or can you just rely on the lecture notes?

Are discussion sections necessary? His syllabus states that participation is 30% of the grade; is it really that high?

How are the midterms/finals?

Thanks for the help

I took it with him.

Yes, you need the readers, although you don’t have to read every word in it.

I found discussions quite enlightening and educational, so if you have the time, why not try it out?

Exams were fairly easy; one of them I remember had a mean of nearly 90%.

Good luck in the class!

Is it true that his exams are purely memorization? If so, from what?

does non attendance of discussion result in a low participation score?

yes u must attend discussion, you will be turning in assignments daily and attendance is taken, and don’t buy the reader, get it from moffit, class is ridiculously easy

readers were so expensive.

i hear this class is **** easy.

Check out the reader exchange - you can get both the readers for $40-60.

20LEGEND, how does the reader exchange work? All I see are PDF’s of articles. Are there people to contact?

I read maybe three articles from the reader, and yes it was quite ****ing expensive for a reader. I wouldn’t buy it, really. Just jot down a few keywords or concept from lecture, and BS from there on your homework, essay, etc. As long as you don’t write Native Americans learned about subsistent farming from Mars or something totally ridiculous I think you’re in pretty good shape.

Same for midterms. Go to the review session and regurgitate what he says there. The grader would think you’re a genius.

This class is like high-school level, man. And I mean those ■■■■■■■■, non-honor, non-AP type of classes.

Bumps

Is it still easy
