Anyone taking APs at Florida Virtual School?

Hey, I am currently taking AP classes at Flvs. If you are taking AP classes yoo, maybe we can talk and work together on our AP assignemnts. So far I have:

AP Gov
AP Bio
AP Art History
AP Eng Lang

Maybe we can discuss assignments for a better understanding. Post here if you are a student at flvs! Thanks!

Yep, I'm a student at FLVS. Currently taking AP Art History

Wow, you're the third CCer I know taking Art History! Mr. Reeves rocks!

I just sent you a private message. And no, Mr. Reeves certainly does not rock!

Yes, I have taken AP Microeconomics last year at FLVS and this year I am currently in Chemistry I Honors and AP US History

was Mr. Noel your instructor? Are you taking any courses there currently?

I said I was taking AP US History and Chemistry I Honors there currently. And no, I didnt have Mr. Noel, I had Mr. Gault, but my friend had Mr. noel for AP Macroeconomics. What is your screname?

would you guys recommend this? I'm thinking about doing the AP Macroeconomics and I'm aiming for a 4. My school doesn't offer AP's so I'm trying to find other ways around that. It's really expensive(out of state) and a pretty big committment so I was just wondering what you guys think. Is it worth it? I don't want to take it if I'm not going to get a good grade on the test.

Is this thing legitimate(being online and all)?

Thanks

AP Macroeconomics is not worth it, take AP Microeconomics...i's more challenging

I am in AP Art History.

I'm suprised no one really likes Mr. Reeves; I have a bit of a crush on him.

How could you have a crush on him if you never saw him? That dude scares the h** out of me.

I see there are many people doing Art History with FLVS. Wanna join an FLVS Art History chatroom?

first post, but im taking ap gov, done with micro (gault) and miller with macro...sevendust, is gov hard? i just got activated and with ms. p and have no idea how the class is compared with micro/macro

That class is hard as he**. when you take the quiz, MAKE SURE you read the chapter well. The quizzes ask VERY specific questions from the chapter.

would these courses be integrated into your high school gpa?

Is it free to take courses for someone who resides outside of Florida. If not how much does it cost

No, it isn't free.

$400 for a .5 credit course
$800 for a 1 credit course
This is the AP price, I believe.

would these courses count in your high school gpa?

Ok thanks, cause I got an online high school for my state and its free, but no Ap courses

Also what is the time limit on completion of a course

AP art history can, as a full year course, can start anytime between June and October and ends with the AP exams. You can find more info at www.flvs.net

And, I absolutely hate Mr. Reeves.

he writes lots of nasty messages on my essays, which do stink.
Just yesterday he wrote:
"most of your response was not germane to the topic. Your works do not depict the same scene."
i got a 10/100 on that long essay!
