Anyone totally looking forward to the Psych?

Wow, I can't wait for AP Psych. It'll definitely be the best AP this year. I'm quivering in my boots. Anyone feel the same way? Anyone nervous about it? 'Fess up. Don't let those APUSHers take over the whole forum.

AP psyc is gonna be fun and easy because all you have to study is the vocab words and just define those words on the essay.

Psych is gonna be so easy, hahaha. I'm expecting a 6.

Me too! Sixes all around.

For some reason, I'm having an incredibly hard time with psych. I'm a social science-oriented person and usually fare well on APs (4 on world history and 5 on APUSH) but I can't seem to grasp it. Maybe I'll get 5s on Bio and Govt to balance out the 3 I'll get on psych?

Maybe it's my senioritis. Or a self-fulfilling prophecy?

yeah psych will be my last exam of the year and by far the coolest. i love the subject. i cant believe you guys are expecting 6's.....are you guys underacheivers? i expect an 8. yeah it mostly tests vocabulary and knowledge of some theories and topics.

Sorry you're having trouble with the subject xanderman. If you have questions, I'd gladly answer them (I'm in such a psych mood right now, really bad because I'm going to fail Physics). Don't mean to sound patronizing though. Oh, and if anyone wants 1999 Released AP to practice with, I've got it.

Is that the one where the first question is eating a snack to increase glucose levels?

if you could send me taht or let me peek at it that would be great eponymous!

what are these 6s and 8s out of? isn't the ap psych exam out of 5?

^...they were exaggerating...since psych is "so easy"..
but i wouldn't know! :D it's not offered at my school...
should i self study and take it next year?
or would that be a waste of 90 bucks? not to mention time :P

TAWS, yes, this is the one. This is going to take me a bit, but I'll send it out to all of you. If you find I have neglected you, you can just PM me.

Thistlepanger, the AP Psych covers a lot of material. Absolutely no analysis is required, unlike some of the history exams, but there is a lot of vocabulary and theory and assorted facts. It really depends on how much time you have next year, and how much you like the subject. Because honestly, if you really find it interesting, you will breeze through the material. However, it takes a decent amount of work and a fair share of reading. I am positive that I'll get a 5 not because the AP Psych is a pushover, but because I really like the class and so I retain the material really well. You should try picking up a textbook or review book and flipping through to see how you like it. Because if you think it's bland, it's going to be a looooooong year. Hope this helped!

I made a 5 just with my multiple choice score on my practice AP exam: 97/100. -_-;

Oh, and did another one the next class period (MC only) and got 91/100...

Wow. BMod, that's totally impressive. I was considering just leaving after the multiple choice and seeing what I get w/o FR, but that would put me at risk for a 4, and my teacher would kill me if I got a 4. (It's his first year teaching AP Psych, and he honestly thinks we're all gonna fail, except for me, so he'll cry if I don't get a 5. Did I mention that my teachers were crazy?)
