Anyone transfer to ucb as computer science(BA)???

We need to complete all the IGETC (or L&S requirements)???
It is really too much!!!It seems I certainly would over 70 units!!
But in the ucb L&S college it says that the maximum is 70!!!

Anybody already transferred to ucb majoring in cs(BA)??
I need some help````

70 units is the maximum number of community college transfer units that you can count toward the graduation minimum of 120 units (semester units), although you can certain apply with more than that many community college units.

There is, however, a unit cap for those applying if they have had any units from a four year school. Students who have units only from community colleges are not subject to the application unit cap.

Regardless of that, try to get as many of the five lower division CS/EE courses covered before transfer, to reduce the amount of “catch up” needed later (which can result in a very heavy and stressful first semester after transfer due to taking multiple heavy programming courses).

If you are near Laney and Diablo Valley, the combination of these two can cover CS 61A (Laney), CS 61B (either), CS 61C (Diablo Valley), and EE 42 (Laney), according to [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) .

Hey ucbalumnus,

What is my unit cap if I have credits from a 4 year university? I’m now at a CA community college. Isn’t it 80 units? Thanks!

Note: this policy may differ at different UCs and divisions within each campus.

ok. I’m applying to the college of L&S and I’ll have more than 60 units obviously and less than 80. I’m golden right?

I don’t know if I should ask it here.
But I am actually interested in getting to UCB computer science too.

But my GPA is only 3.35
Do I have a chance?

Thank you very much!!
