I think with my AP credit I might end up transferring with around 80-90 units!

I know UC's don't care about the amount of units one takes but this abnormal amount scares the crap out of me for some reason : (

I've probably got 30+ units from tests. Did your CC actually give you the units though? Mine said Berkeley would...

Yeah they give actual units. Well I'm glad at least that Berkeley only transfers 70 units!

Yeah I will have 90 too :)

I'll probably have around 120 semester units

If I get admitted this fall, I'll be transferring with 95 credits. I'm a second-year right now.

why spend most of your undergrad years at a CC? I see no reason to rush through your new school, unless money is that big of an issue.

I'll be spending two of my undergrad years at CC. Those excess units are merely from GE and prerequisite courses. This way when I transfer I'll only have to worry about taking upper division courses and I'll be able to probably double major.

No one plans on rushing through their new school here.

Oh wow that's pretty cool then.

Gonna transfer with between 80 - 90 semester units

I'll have ~105 semester units to transfer(if allowed)

to most schools, It doesn't matter how many units you have, as long as you will spend 2 school-years in their college.

This is not something you can "promise" them that you will do; your profile (transcript?) must show that those excess units can't/won't be used toward a degree.

^Since most of us are coming from two year schools it doesnt matter how many excess units we have.

You people are lucky....these core classes never seem to end for me! I should have taken dual credit courses in high school! How many of you have to take History I and II and Govt. I and II?

I"m a first year right now, and I have 65 units after the first quarter...I"ll end up with over 100 by the time I go somehwere next year (well, hopefully :P )

Got both of those covered via AP testing, but I'm still take core crap too like public speaking ***...
