<p>I’m considering dong such a transfer, for none of the reason listed above.<br>
Location, size, money, are all non-issue</p>
<p>What IS an issue, is the student desire to succeed (read: get rich). Kids at Penn State are fun no doubt, but they honestly don’t give a **** about their future. And the few that do, well, there’s very few. Most people here would be happy making 100k the rest of their lives. Me? Not so.</p>
<p>Granted, PSU’s business program is ranked like #20 in the UGrad business rankings, it just doesnt seem like it after coming here. Rankings, after all, are pretty unreliable. Successful people aren’t where they are because of the college they went to, but of who they are. Being surrounded by these driven individuals (and not the ones that get drunk every night) definitely helps and is so much better networking.</p>
<p>I’m thinking about transferring to Baruch College. I know its ranked lower, and less well known. But after talking to a friend who goes there, and realizing what kind of people go to Baruch (look at its alumni, easily 3x the amount of CEOS vs PSU), it might be “better” school realistically. </p>
<p>Any thoughts on this?</p>
