IMO, REA is the best. I use solely those books pretty much.

I used them. They were okay, but I'd seen better. I don't remember which, since REA served my purposes well enough. But I thought there were better.

cool :D

dude that was like the quickest response ever on CC haha

i can only think of REA as useful for APUSH (sort of) and for art history, by default.

REA was GREAT for AP USH. Possibly better than Amsco.

I used REA for APUSH, but fairly, it was too long.

They're good for the practice tests, but I thought the AP test was easier than what the REA book's tests.

In its tests, I always nearly got a 3 on its multiple choice, but I got a 4 on the actual AP test.

It's good to use if you look at it each day.

I used PR with it.

REA tests are so hard. I find them harder than barrons.

I used REA for Art History. I got a 5 with it. Never used REA for anything else though.

My teacher used REA for AP Calculus AB. I have no idea how it was for AB since I took BC instead but the question were nothing like what I saw on BC, especially on brutal math calculation part.

I used Kaplan, Princeton Review and 5 Step to 5. PR was most concise (I used it last) and close to problems I saw.

REA's is def more difficult than the actual ap exam (for u.s. history). i scored within a multiple-choice raw-score range of 40-45 on REA's, while i scored a 5 on the actual thing. also, the presentation of the info is very bland, and makes the book undeservedly boring.

AMSCO's is more representative IMO. it's better organized than REA's.

^ so would you say that AMSCO is better than REA?

My daughter used both AMSCO and REA for her APUSH exam in 2006 and felt that REA was the superior product in preparing her for the exam. She read it through twice besides doing the practice exams.

I used REA for USH and got a 5 on the AP and 800 on the SATII. It is amazing.

AMSCO's > REA's.

I recommend using AMSCO's to review (i.e., reading the summaries of the different topics) because it is less boring to read and the info is better organized than that of REA's. Then go over the six practice exams of REA's to spot your weaknesses and get yourself into testing mode. Frankly, the combo CANNOT fail (and by FAIL i mean getting <5).

how is REA for env. sci cuz I can't get the Smartypant's guide here in Canada?? thanks.

why can't you get it? order it online

i searched, but it's not on amazon.ca and i can't order it from amazon.com :(

I got a 5 using REA for AP art history Also

i used REA for APUSH, and I got a 5. Let me make note that my teacher was completely USELESS and I learned NIL this year. Soooo yeah, Rea...it's good stuff :)
