<p>Hey guys,
Sorry for posting a chance thread here instead of the chances forum but I don't get replies as my thread always gets pushed to the bottom so i figured people woul respond here.</p>
<p>Background: I'm an asian girl and I applied to CAS ED (biochem) and I have a parent working at Penn. I also go to a pretty decent school where approximately 40 will apply to penn annually. </p>
<p>Stats:
GPA 4.77/5 weighted
No class rank but top 10% of 326
SAT: 2400
SAT II: US History (760) Chemistry (740) Math II (780)
AP: APUSH (5) Chemistry (4) English Lang (5) Physics C Mech (3) whoops..</p>
<p>Senior year classes: AP Calc BC, AP Gov, AP Physics E/M, AP Lit, Spanish 5 H, Art 3 H, and organic chemistry H which is Saturday mornings</p>
<p>Extracurriculars:
-Science Olympiad: VP and secretary and i've won 14 medals so far and am 1 of 2 people in my school to have gone to nationals twice.
-Varsity Tennis: JV freshmen year, varsity sophomore-senior
-I did volunteer work at the local hospital for 100+ hours
-I was a "peer leader" in my school in which I helped in coming freshmen adjust to high school
-tutoring for NHS in math and science, I'm also a "classroom tutor" where i tutor students of a specfic teacher. Only a few (15) people of the 100 or so do this classroom tutoring thing.
-I do alot of art, painting, drawing, etc. My artwork has been in art shows and sold to people
-I also played violin in freshmen year but had to stop becuase orchestra wouldn't fit into my schedule. When i did play, i was in chamber orchestra and was involved in a program that taught underprivileged students about music.</p>

My teacher ones should be great. I'm not sure about the counselor one though, probably nothing special about it.</p>
