*I am an Asian Indian Male (most likely won’t help)
*From a competitive public high school in Oregon: Beaverton High School, which was also rated the best AP school in Oregon, so yeah, its a smart school. (being from oregon isn’t going to help either)
*student body at school = 500+</p>

<p>I am concerned that you want to major in areas in which you scored so low. Retake - retake - retake!!!!!!!! You have very good stats, but they could be better. But you are within the ballpark. Your ethnicity can't hurt, even tho you may think so, because there aren't that many applying to Amherst. Realize that most of the applicants have all those wonderful EC's and stats as good or better, so you need to make yourself stand out of the pack. Make sure your essays are stellar! They can tip it for you. Being a male can't hurt, either. Good luck! No one is a shoe-in at Amherst.</p>
